THE PROBLEM
Despite being a chapter of an established organization, ISACA UW struggled to effectively communicate information about their mission, events, and opportunities.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
ISACA is an organization focused on empowering and connecting professionals in information security / cybersecurity, with over 200 chapters worldwide.
INITIAL RESEARCH
I met with Hannah, the president of ISACA UW, to learn about the club’s pain points and what they needed from a website.
Through our chat, I found that information about the club, such as their mission, email, current officers, and events, was spread between different sources. This meant current and prospective members couldn't find key information at a glance.
ISSUE 1
Information about the club lived in different places
ISSUE 2
Current members could not easily find key information
ISSUE 3
Prospective members were less likely to join the club as a result
LOW FIDELITY PROTOTYPES
I led a low-fidelity wireframing exercise to quickly produce initial designs for the website.
MID FIDELITY PROTOTYPES
After creating some low fidelity wireframes, our team worked on defining a style guide for the website. We based our styles on the larger ISACA organization's branding, but brought in new inspirations as well.
We also further refined our screens by exploring higher fidelity versions of the website.
